Beginning her journey in community health with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 2013, Kayla Butler has dedicated her career to making a difference. She embarked on this path as a Prevention Specialist at the Recovery Council in 2018, where her passion and commitment quickly propelled her to her current role as Prevention Supervisor. Along the way, Kayla has been recognized for her impactful work, earning the Paint Valley ADAMH Board Prevention Advocate of the Year award and the March United Community Impact Award, both in 2021.
As part of the URMC Stigma Cohort, she champions mental health and substance abuse prevention, working tirelessly to dismantle stigmas and foster community support. Beyond her professional life, Kayla finds joy and inspiration in her marriage to her husband, Michael, and their “prevention pup”, Finny, reflecting the resilience and hope that she brings to her vital work.
